I am sure you can all relate to this pain!
Let's get to it!
Your perspective matters
I was watching a podcast on YouTube and this part hit like me a wet fish in the face on a cold winters day.

I take no credit for these pictures. I took a snapshot of them because the visuals are powerful.
Thanks as ever to Russell Brunson
How Far I Am From The Ideal
Think about a goal or an end state that you have in mind.
Either past or present.
That feeling of working so hard, pushing yourself forward all the time. Only to realize how far away you are from your end goal.
What emotion does that bring out in you?
I am going to guess that it isn't positive
.
Likely frustration, annoyance, sadness, the questioning is it worth it.
Your lacking energy to continue.
On the other side of it.
You can see it as:

On your journey you would have travelled a long way, learnt new skills, met new people, and learnt a lot about yourself.
The distance between the ideal is still the same.
But how are you feeling now?
Most likely feelings of pride, happiness, motivation, the want to continue.
The goal or ideal hasnt necessarily changed.
But your approach to it has.
Which way of seeing this is going to help you most?
Cheering you on,
Dan

HEY, I’M DAN…
I know how exhausting and overwhelming it can be to work full time in a job that doesn't fulfill you. Then to arrive home sad and mentally exhausted.
Your kids really excited because daddy is home! and they want to tell you all about their day and play with you.
But you are so beaten down that you just can't give them the same excitement, or your full attention. Your mind is full of doubts and fears.
As hard as it may feel right now, there is a path from where you are today to becoming the dad who arrives home feeling fulfilled instead of frustrated.
I know because I have been where you are, and I can show you the way.
As a dad, husband, full time employee and a certified coach, I have helped dads just like you to identify careers that allow them to wake up excited to make a difference, to arrive home ready for toys and tantrums, and to go to your kids sports games fully present and enjoying it.
